 Steven Youngblood & Tropic Sands Band.
 Steven has been in the music business all his life . Started in this teens playing Buffett, Barefootman, Eagles , Beach music , Jazz and Rock & Roll.  Played with a many bands, also played with a Top Jazz Band for years in high school. When he was in his teen's he use to sit up on the charter boat after all the bait and all was ready and play his guitar also booked trips on the back deck playing his guitar . He been playing Trop Rock for a long time . He also made it into the Trop Rock Stories Book. Chapter 54 , He is a north west Florida boy a native of this area. The stories he can tell .   The Tropic Sands Band came about after Steven hit a Number 1 on the west coast with his title track song Guitars & Fishing Poles .  Aug 31st2012  New Music Weekly , Spin Tracking Systems . Steven was playing solo for a while and got tried of that and wanted more , A Band !     After going thru throat surgery with a Large Gorta in his thyroid wrap around his vocal cords steven would not give up , he always loved music and music kept his sanity. His Band give's hope to a lot of folks, To never give up on something you love!  He started off with a good friend and fellow parrot head  Kent Adam's on Drums and about that time he bought a steel drum he was playing around with but soon realized he could not play both at same time. So he ask his wife to step in and learn the steel drum. Which she has done greatly and it all became a fun loving band and a lot of true stress relief for everyone. Down the road steven had  Alan Colye build Sandra a first class steel drum.   The Band has come along way , They also add songs that have never had a steel drum added to them. Like Jenny jenny  or 8675309 that came off a dare in a songwriters festival in Pensacola , when the writer stated he had never had one of his songs with a steel drum on it. So they practice it and the rest is history. The Band has played a lot of events over the years , Yacht Clubs , Blessing of the fleet events , New years Ball drop's , Mango Marleys , Oyster Bars , Dive Clubs , Restaurant's , Concerts , Parrot Head Club's and so many events I can't list  them all .    Today the Band has grown in to a well oil machine , The addition of a band house has made the biggest difference , the time their able to Practice and go over songs and write new songs has made this band grow and continue's to grow and write. The band has become a single unit , Why I say this is they all sing now. The room to work anytime on their music has made this happen , Kent and Sandra both sing leads and harmonies all the time. Kent added in  the Harmonica in with him playing drums or keeping time and this has made some of the best blue's and rock sounds . This band loves playing their music and  adding their style to songs. They are 100% live and each show is always different cause they play what they feel and the breath off the music. They can cut up with a crowd and settle in to their Zone. When they get in this Zone you never know what Gem is going to come out of this band. Like A Fine Wine !  They Get Better With Age !

We have a cool sound a different & refreshing ! We have A great Sound system with BOSE S1pro speakers for most small events and a BOSE L1 system for large events. We use a Tascam 24 channel board for our mixing , so we mic the drums and everything so we can get a great mix in our ear bugs . This help to keep the sound down not having monitors on stage we use in ear .

We can play almost any room . the steel drum does not require-any mics and rings out as a steel drums does which gives us a refreshing tropical sound.
